A few years ago Robert P. Fitton asked a noted mystery author if a writer could produce novels for readers without agents and publishing houses. The novelist paused, thought for a moment and looked Fitton in the eye. " Why, that would be like a gas station trying to sell gas without dealing with the major oil companies!"

Fitton, aware of the power of the internet, disagreed. Undaunted, several years later he constructed a personalized and unique web site and placed his novels for sale online. Before e-books were mass marketed on Amazon.com and Peanut Press, Fitton, in 2001, became the original Internet Author. And his site endures.
